Communication Components, Inc. Bi-directional Amplifier (BDA) and Repeater products improve the sensitivity and coverage area of base stations in indoor and outdoor locations. The BDA and Repeater are available for SMR, PCS, and cellular operating frequencies with different maximum available gain and output power ratings. The BDA and Repeater are specifically designed for low system group delay to minimize Bit-Error-Rate (BER) of digital transmissions and are available in both narrow-band and channelized configurations.

The BDA and Repeater are packaged in a moisture proof NEMA 4X enclosure suitable for indoor and outdoor installation with two low noise medium power amplifiers, independently controlled up-link and down-link attenuators or Automatic Gain Control (AGC), dual duplexers, and bias tee’s. The BDA and Repeater can be powered by a conventional 110/220 VAC source or an external DC voltage. Optional Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is available in both the up-link and down-link path with over 20 dB attenuation range to eliminate the possibility of saturating the amplifiers and maintaining the intermodulation products at an acceptable level during all operating conditions.
