CCI’s Remote Tunable Narrow Guard Band (10 MHz) Filter-Combiner (LLC) combines two (2) contiguous UMTS Carriers and GSM onto a single feeder without the insertion loss normally associated with passive combiners. A precisely matched UMTS filter allows the two (2) UMTS carriers to be positioned anywhere in the band and provides high rejection of unwanted spurious emissions and noise. Transmit paths are fully isolated to prevent intermodulation products. This 10 MHz LLC can be utilized when a Node B BTS having two (2) carriers on a single feedline (single port) is in place and multiple units can not be cascaded for deployment of additional UMTS channels. Once the combiner is tuned, no power is required, effectively becoming a pure passive low-loss filter combiner. Control is via TCP/IP or Ethernet requiring only a web browser. All software is resident internally, no extra software or controller is required. Note that the UMTS port (Bandpass) is Tx only but the GSM port (Bandstop) is fully duplexed (Tx/Rx). The unit is housed in a single rackmounted 19” by 1.5U assembly and can be used with CCI SCPA’s for further feeder line reduction.
